Interview With Retired Justice Sandra Day O'Connor

Justice Sandra Day O'Connor was nominated to the bench by President Ronald Reagan. She served as a Justice from 1981 until 2006. She was preceded by Justice Potter Stewart and succeeded by Justice Samuel Alito. In this interview, retired Justice O'Connor talks about the role the Founding Fathers envisioned for the Supreme Court. She also talks about the Judicial Collars that female Justices wear, the Robing Room, and Oral Argument. The interview took place in the West Conference Room of the Supreme Court.
